Sitting on the sandy beach
Cool zephyr’s drifting off the Huron,
Cries of gulls, fowl, nature,
Restless ripples rolling on the shore.

Majestic ball – radiating life
In a fiery red sky with slender blue clouds,
Whispering silhouettes,
Setting sun shimmering slowly.

This poem was written for my High School English Class.  I submitted this poem in response to a newspaper ad.  Asking local writers to submit works of poetry or prose about Lake Huron.  My poem was selected and I can say I am a published Poet.  I am proud of this poem and honoured to be amongst other literary talents from Bruce County, Ontario, Canada.
